Earseeds and Zines at PRIDE!

At our booth, we will be offering free ear acupressure in the tradition of Dr. Mutulu Shakur, the Black Panthers and the Young Lords. By sticking small seeds on ear acu-points, we offer a nervous system reset that gives immediate relief. In response to the opioid epidemic in the 1970's, the Panthers and Young Lords built coalitions with Asian clinicians and determined that these five points are highly effective for treating trauma. They took over the hospital in the South Bronx because they believed that healthcare was a human right.

Our people are under attack, especially trans* and non-binary members of our TLGBQIA2S+ family. The low-barrier, non-invasive, elegant acupressure we offer will support our resilient community by helping our bodies transition out of the fight-or-flight stage, which is harmful to the body due to elevated cortisol.

The volunteers who will be offering the NADA protocol will also be training interested participants. This optional activity empowers our community with what we call "traditional first aid" that participants can use all year long. Our booth will be a dandelion clock spreading seeds of healing that will sprout all over the desert.

Participants will have the option of buying earseeds, our books and zines, and Epigenetic Alchemy merch. All of our offerings are rooted in traditional ancestral healing modalities and intended to empower heart-centered radicals with tools for community care.

Epigenetic Alchemy is here to celebrate the strength of our beautiful Tongva LAnd community, where we showed the world who we are by coming together after the fires.
